Supporting Amateur Motocross and Off-Road Racing in the United States Since 1995!

Well it's been a long time since I've blogged on this site and many of you who tuned in back in the 1990's may recall the positive changes we encouraged in the sport and the enthusiasm that we (as a district) instilled in our racers that resulted in some great times at the track and some great championships.

Points races were followed closely as we struggled to get the results and get them posted as soon as possible. By doing so everyone knew where they stood from week to week and went the extra mile to gain those valuable points toward the next position in the standings. Whether it was a top ten or the top spot, we all seemed to have the drive and excitement.

The 50 classes were full, the 65 class had to be split due to the large number of entries each week...I have to be blunt here folks....what the hell happened????  Where's the 50cc racers?  Where's all the 7-11 year olds and the 65's??  Hell you can buy a 2002 KX 65 and be on the same equipment as a 2008...so it can't be the '4-stroke's are pricing me out' excuse here...

I don't know, but something needs to give soon and we all need to be behind the movement or the only racing we'll all be doing is on a computer console....Has anyone noticed that Yamaha quit selling the 50cc ATV??  Is the PW50 next??  We better hope not.

2010 will mark a new beginning and a hard push for Motocross in the state and region and Motoracing.com will once again be a driving force behind the resurrection of this coveted sport we all love so much... Keep an eye on our site as we change it up, and mark your calendars for our 10th Anniversary Supercross Party in February 2010....

About Motoracing.com: Motoracing.com began in the early 1990's as the premiere regional motocross website devoted to regional events and coverage as well as the AMA Supercross and AMA Motocross events. It grew from there to not only cover amateur racing but to promote successful events as well, such as the Midwest Amateur Motocross Championships.

Motoracing.com was developed by Ryan Marshall. Over the last decade Marshall served as the Public Relations and Advertising Manager for the Cycle World International Motorcycle Shows, Marketing Manager for the BooKoo Arenacross and Public Relations Manager for the Supercross series.

Since leaving the Supercross position in 2000 the site began hosting the original Indy Supercross After-Party, an event which began at the Circle Centre Mall and has since moved to the new location at The Ugly Monkey. In its 10th year now, the event carries on and is seen by most as a once-a-year celebration for those who share the same passion for the sport and who take advantage of the event to place a great cap on what is always a tremendous weekend of racing.

It gets very crowded, but we hope you can make it.  Cheers!
